I already own that plane. Here is what I can tell you about it:
- The exterior 3D model and textures are really nice
- The virtual cockpit is nice and detailled. It is possible to start the engine from Cold&Dark.
- The flight model is extremely challenging, just like the real aircraft. I heard some real F-104 pilots (from Italy, I guess) participated to the fine-tuning of this plane, so you can expect quite a high level of realism in there.
- The sounds are outstanding, and will reproduce quite well the famous "howling" sound, so typical of their engines.

Yes you have to register to Simmarket.
Registering just means creating a user account, exactly like in a forum for example.
No need for any credit card number or any other kind of financial info.

A little "warning" to those who are not familiar with SimSkunkWorks addon: the procedure to download and install the plane might be a little bit misleading at first.
But don't worry, it's just about following the correct steps.

On Simmarket, you can only download the main installer program of the plane.
This installer does not contain any textures ! So don't worry if your planes are all black: you simply need to download the corresponding texture package from the SimSkunkWorks website (I don't know if SimMarket will indicate a direct link to them or not... but instructions will be given on how to proceed).
You might also have to download, from SimMarket, some "keyless registration" or installer or I don't remember correctly...

Anyways, once you "buy" that plane (for 0 dollars ), take the time to read carefully the instructions indicated on the simmarket product page or in the emails...

funny....never saw any indication of this on their site.....you must have an in i hope this is for fsx too.........

From what I read from other users who "bought" that plane with this special offer, you'll have to pay special attention to the email you'll receive from SimMarket after your "purchase" ( ).

To install the plane properly, you have to follow these steps in this precise order:
1- launch SSW.JF-FRF104G-Installer-P3D.4-4.1.1.exe (right-click and choose "run as administrator"). Ignore the prompt to enter an activation key.
2- launch SSW.JF-FRF-104G-Installer-P3D.4-TEXTURES-4.1.0.exe (downloaded from the SimSkunkWorks website, I think?)
3- launch SSW-VACMI-Core.Installer-P3Dx64-8.7.0.exe
4- launch the "keyless" install program SSW-keyless-installer-unified-v1.0.2.exe

I hope it will work

Does anyone have problems with it in FSX? I downloaded it and they all appear black.
