Best DC-3, C-47?

Could someone recommend (in their opinion!) the best and most compatible DC-3/C-47 for P3d V4.4? Thanks!

You won't do much better than the Manifred Jahn version

I notice some of the repaints are for Ver 1.4, yet the plane itself is 1.5, so the repaints will not show...Solution? Thanks

It has a different autopilot than any c-47 you will every see. Its a little hard at first but once you get use to it you will love it.

1.4 textures should work in v 1.5 without any problem.

FSX/FSX-SE/P3D DOUGLAS C-47R SKYTRAIN V3.14 BETA... This is truly the BEST one available out there. !!!FOR ANY PRICE!!! Please believe me when I say that. I began searching while I had FS 2002 and again with FS 2004. I tried everyone I could find, both payware and freeby, but there was always some niggling little problem. Usually the fact of the aircraft wanting to fly "wings level" at any speed, then there was the bouncing on landing...Bad news for 3 out of 5 of us trying to make an emergency cargo delivery to a little runway in Northern Alaska, (can't remember which one) in 2004 about 13 years ago. But be prepared to learn the little bits about the aircraft. frpm start up to shut down. Use the check lists, but watch start up videos on Youtube for the basic start up. This about got-my-goat hide, as my grandpa woild have said...Good luck and keep it dirty side down.

Very well said. Better than I could have put it. One to keep and keep flying.

Has the developers finished with this addon? There hasn't been a new version for a long time.

Yes they have. See here:
Douglas_C-47_C47_GCA-MVC_021.zip
You can find it at Sim Outhouse.
This version has a great GCA simulator built in, but you do not have to use that feature. There are a few updates and tweeks in this model too.
There is also a great new sound set by Mike Maarse:

If you want to really use this plane, come join us at http://www.dc3airways.net as we only fly the DC-3 and the DC-4 and we have a lot of pilots with a lot of knowledge of this great plane.
