I have activated AI carriers in P3DV4 exe.xml (from my FSX-SE installation) and has worked OK in a small test, both catapult and arrestor

AICarriers works perfectly with P3Dv4, as stated above.
Just ensure you're using AICarriers.NET, not the Java version that was shipped with the original Nimitz packages...

Sorry to hijack the thread! I have AICarriers.NET but have been trying to get my head around adding it to P3D. The instructions mention XML wotsits but I get lost & confused when trying to comprehend where they go! :oops:

Is there anything out there that will explain the procedure?! :D

Download the attached exe file.

Paste the file in:

C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

IMPORTANT: The exe contains this:

... ... ... ...
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>AICarriers</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>ATTENTION:HERE YOU MUST WRITE THE PATH WHERE YOU HAVE AICARRIERS</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

To view the exe, clic right and choose "edit" it opens in notepad and you can modify and save.

As a temporary workaround, you can simply launch manually your AICarriers.exe, after you launched your sim. It will be able to "find" your sim and connect to it.
The editing of the EXE.xml file is only meant to have an automatic launch of AICarriers when launching the sim. Just for convenience.
One constraint about that though: the path to AICarriers.exe has to be in full format, including the drive letter ("c:\...\AICarriers.exe").

Thank Daube!

Running AICarrier.exe after launching P3D works a treat! Saves me messing around with any xml files!

Thanks guys for you help & advice!
