Everybody knows that 64bit is better than 32bit, right?
Only in a generic way, actually.
I've mentioned that I can now fly New York City X WITHOUT out of memory crashes, and that got everybody excited.
Yeah, that's one of the things to be expected, big deal.
But here is a real improvement that is VERY clear to see.
When looking at these two pictures you have to know a few things.
1 - Although Orbx has Jackson Hole Airport scenery, it IS NOT available to Prepar3d V4, yet. Not to mention that I don't have it anyway.
2 - The first picture is Prepar3d V3 with all the major Orbx North American add-ons, excepting Jackson Hole.
3 - Other than the basic North American OpenLC NONE of what I have in the V3 version is available for this area in V4.
4 - Orbx says that their V4 scenery is being adapted to 64bit.
In short, the Orbx scenery IS 64bit scenery, but at the moment it's a basic, OpenLC, scenery, NOT a highly developed region.
Somewhere northwest of Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Prepar3d V3 scenery with all available Orbx scenery, except for Orbx Jackson Hole.
Prepar3d V4 scenery with ONLY North American OpenLC. NOTHING ELSE.
