Finally - New York City X in P3d V4

Postby OldAirmail » Tue Jun 06, 2017 9:47 pm

New York City X is a real flight sim killer.

Until now I couldn't fly it with any of the settings above the lowest of settings.

I had the memory - 32GB. I had the CPU & GPU, in fact my video card has 8GB of DDR5.

But even at the lowest of settings it would crash after a relatively short time. On even moderate settings it would crash FSX/P3d V3 in less than two minutes.

That's no longer a problem.

This isn't an install, I just pulled the files over to P3d V4. When they come out with a real V4 install It may, or may not, look better. :D

Checking with the DRZEWIECKI DESIGN website, it seems that the only way to use New York City X is the way that I did (cheat and copy it over from P3d V3) - NO NOT try to force an install to P3d V4.

They will be sending out updated installers soon.

Scenery.cfg will get corrupt and P3d V4 will not start. More info.

This is the screen that you'll see.

Do not uninstall The solution is simple, delete Scenery.cfg located in C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4.

P3d will generate a new Scenery.cfg file.

NOTE - Scenery.cfg IS NOT a simple test file anymore. Searching the internet will tell you more.
