FSX Planes in P3D = wrong textures

Prepar3D - Lockheed Martin has taken the FSX platform into a new level aimed at the professional.

FSX Planes in P3D = wrong textures

Postby G.K. » Fri Oct 17, 2014 4:54 am

I've seen a solution to this issue somewhere but I blowed if I can remember it or find it now.

Copying and pasting FSX planes across to P3d everything looks fine until I look at the planes in the selection panel. If I browse through them the textures get muddled up. In the end they all adopt the unmarked texture and stay that way even when loaded and flying.

....anyone help with a solution??

Thanks for that link Pete, it's not quite the same problem though. My fault as I didn't explain very well, I'll give it another go.

If I drag and drop the FSX DC3 into P3d the following happens:
I go into vehicle selection and all of the DC3's are listed.
I select the 2nd one down and it looks correct in the preview panel, Emerald Harbour.
I select the top one (plain aluminium) it looks correct in the preview
I now reselect the 2nd one down, it now appears as plain aluminium. Emerald harbour has gone.
All further selections, 2nd, 3rd or 4th now appear as plain in preview and in the sim.
