Release of the Third Update of Prepar3D v2

I was just about to go to bed when I saw this.

I'll have to check it out tomorrow night.

Good luck.

STOP THE UPDATE!

The Update file is producing errors, if it does anything at all.

I checked to be sure that I had the correct version, but still got this -

Give it a day or two.

I downloaded and installed the patch yesterday.

Quick First impressions:

Stutters improved but still stuttering.
Texture loading improved but still popping very slightly
FPS improved slightly
Water textures look better with smoother texture loading. High settings are not too much of a FPS hit.
V 2.3 is supposed to give white caps and foam on water. I can't see these on any setting.

.....I deleted the shader cache after installation.

Last week I got hold of a new Graphics card and am now running a GT 640 2gig and a GTX 750 ti 2 gig side by side. This has enabled me to run 2 monitors without loss of frames in most areas except large airports/cities. My Autogen sliders are high but not maxed. I can also have cloud shadows switched on. Any traffic causes slow downs, which I believe is because of my CPU which is now probably the bottleneck.....i5-4430 @ 3 ghz. i7 is on my Christmas list.

.....The sim looks good now, very pleased except for the micro stutters every 10 seconds or so which have improved with the patch but are still significant on my rig.

LM has this on the download site:

Before downloading the patch I checked, and I have version 2.2.10438.0

I'm wondering if those without problems have version 2.2.10437.0

The last time that they offered a patch or a full re-install I chose the full re-install. This time I have a ton of downloads and would rather do the patch. :x

....Yes. My previous version was 10437.0

I have a question OldAirmail (or anyone else) I am running 2 monitors, external spot view on one, instruments on the other. I typically use main panel, radio and throttle quad, sometimes GPS.....

........how do I stop the radio and throttle disappearing behind the main panel when I click on the main panel? I've probably missed something obvious.

As I mentioned, I can now have cloud shadows on, this adds a new level of realism for me as I fly in and out of shadow. I tried using other shadows like trees and autogen but found some distracting popping of shadows on the ground....no big deal though because the Orbx England comes with built in pretend shadows which look reasonable.
