Hi, I downloaded this aircraft (b772aalnc_fsx.zip) for Prepard3d 2. Can't see out the windshield. AC is on the ground facing a building. Any other with this problem? Thx Image

Hi
Yes you are right. I am getting the same problem. I am also interested in finding a fix to this. I am a fan of p3D and see it as the next FS --

I am playing aro9und with the display settings. Problem in FSX is that if you have a textures problem and apply a fix you usually have to restart FSX to see the fix.
I am suspecting it may be the same with P3D -- so experimentation is taking time.

If/when I find any solution I'll get back.

Hi Pete.

Thanks for your comments. I'd help, but don't know much in that area, & do appreciate your interest. I'll be watching.

QUESTION: When you switch to an outside view, do you see any scenery, or just a solid color?

OK I found a solution.

After a lot of messing around I noticed all the default textures in P3D were DDS (like native FSX). So I tried converting all the VC textures in the textures folder to DDS. I had to delete the old BMP VC textures and now the glass is OK 8-) .

This will fix the opaque windows in any FSX Project Opensky or Skyspirit Boeing 777-200 or 777-300 when used in Prepared 3d

I have created and uploaded a file to include the replacement VC textures. Just delete the VC textures in your Project Opensky or Skyspirit Boeing 777-300 or 200 and replace with the textures in the file (instructions included in file)

I give up on this AC. It doesn't work very well in P2.

In what way?

Now I see out the windshield. Can't click on VC. Advance throttles, they show movement with no engine response. That's as far as I went. This plane is prolly good in FSX, but for P2 needs help.

It's a FS9 plane.
In P3Dv2, depending on how they were modelled, a lot of FS9 plane will totally loose the clickable spots in the virtual cockpit.

I am running P3D v 1.4.* and the VC is clickable the same as FSX. It's a pitty to hear thet V2 has prevented this. :(
