Prepar3d V2.2 clouds

Death Valley, California

EVEN if Prepar3d never got any better, THIS would be the best looking flight sim out there.

People keep hearing that the clouds in the newest P3d are great.

Well, THIS is a shrunk down, and pixel reduced, image of what I see.

And the whole picture.

This is without ANY weather programs. No REX. No OPUS. Nothing but BASIC Prepar3d V2.2.

night flights look so much better also
textures in fsx at night were horrible, looked like my display was set to 256 color palate
night flights in p3dv2.2 are just as beautiful as those day time pix you posted

Nice 8-)

P3D is capable of a wider range of moods imo.

As a low and slow pillock pilot what I would REALLY like to see, is what Death Valley and Owen's Valley looks like from an altitude of 0/500-1,500 feet AGL...where I spend most of my time in the Flight Sims.

What I want to see in the screen shots is what the actual GROUND detail looks like....

...Tumble-weeds, Cacti, and Rattle Snakes, wheel tracks in the sand, Buffalo skeletons?.... ;) ...!

Sod the fancy clouds; as a Sim Pilot and Motorcyclist, I keep well away from them...they are killers!

My FSX ground scenery with OrbX FTX and UT USA, and "stuff" maxed, looks wonderful....

Paul....a ground-based Pilot... :D ...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.
