FS9 planes display well, and more !

Hi all,

I'm forwarding here an info I found on another forum.
You'll be pleased to learn that the planes in FS9 format are NOT suffering from any display problems in P3Dv2. More precisely, planes in FS9 format will get:
- dynamic shadows in the virtual cockpit
- dynamic shadows in the exterior model/view 8-)
- the props and other transparent parts will appear CORRECTLY in front of clouds ! :o

Here is a quick example with the famous Ju-52 made by Oliver Fischer. I installed it in P3Dv2, but I forgot to install the modified glass textures...
Anyways, look at that cockpit, these lovely shadows on the panel :)

And here you can check the props in front of th clouds, as well as a bit of self-shadowing (look under the elevator):

Cool, isn't it ?
That being said, the self-shadowing in exterior view seems to dissappear above a certain altitude (it did during my test, and that was, like 1000 feet or just a little bit more). VC shadows continue to work though ;)

I'm still having problems with ANY scenery. What video card are you using?
