Yup -- for me it's $59.90 because I bought v1.4 earlier this year. I understand and respect they don't wish to sell this as 'entertainment' but you would think they would allow a discount or upgrade for previous customers. (Unfortunate that they seem to be aiming purely at the commercial/corporate/professional groups market, who don't care about this level of expenditure, rather than individuals, who might.)

But for any genuine enthusiast it's still a great buy at $59.95 for the raw package (but they should still have offered an upgrade for previous customers of 1.4)

What a rip off!
You got a refund MORE than 60 days later!

From LM:
"I have Prepar3D v1.4, do I get an upgrade or a discount for Prepar3D v2?

If you have purchased Prepar3D v1.4 within 60 days of your purchase, per the refund policy, you can request a refund and then purchase the desired license of Prepar3D v2. There are no exchanges, upgrades, or discounts available.

"But for any genuine enthusiast it's still a great buy at $59.95 for the raw package"

I consider it a bargain at $60. I'm sure that just about EVERYONE has spent more than $60 on add-ons.

And even the full version of X-Plane 10 (the only comparable flight sim) costs more at $70. And from what I can tell, Prepar3d V2 is better.

"(but they should still have offered an upgrade for previous customers of 1.4)"

This is a completely new slight sim, even if it is backward with FSX, and some of FS9.

If I were new to flight sims, I would be more than willing to pay $60 for this than $17 to $30 for FSX.

One more thing to think about. Just how much is MS charging for the update to FSX? NOTHING, because you will never get an update to FSX unless you speed FARE MORE then $60 for software like FTX Global et.
