Changing Required Airplanes in Missions

Hi,

 I'm new to CFS 3.  Learned to change airplanes in missions or rename airplanes to fly in mission in CFS/CFS2 but I'm beginning to fly CFS 3 and ran across a problem

 I have one of Cliff Burgess' mission packs, Battle for Europe.  His missions were always fun and even a challenge to find all the required aircraft for them in CFS/CFS2.

 But I haven't yet learned to exchange or rename planes in CFS 3 to conform to missions.  His BfE missions call for Herbie G's B17 mollie 3us_b_17g from AvHistory.  But AvHistory only has a renamed version of this plane, AvH_US_B17G-80_001.

 Questions:  How do I get the renamed version to fly in these missions?  How do I rename the planes in the mission files or rename the planes in the plane folders to the ones named in the mission?
