do you like modern or historic? Lockon is good modern air combat, cfs3 is good historicly. also imo i like cfs3 graphics more than lock ons.

I would respectfully disagree.  You can become quite competent in CFS3 in a few weeks; it takes about 6 months of real effort to get to the same level in Falcon 4 & its derivatives.

If you want to play guns you can; only its much harder in Falcon.

RitterKruez I disagree with you totally. Comparing this two Sims is like comparing a Apple with a Orange. They are representing different ares with differrent AC capabilities. Its basically impossible to compare.

I truely beleive that there is no best Sim. Its up to the user and what he like to see and experience while flying with the Sim.

Now as for your comment that Missiles are for little girls is totally wrong. There is no greater fear than knowing there is a Sam heading your way. You have to know and be highly train to know what your are doing to survive such a encounter. The pilots of today are as brave and skillful as any pilots of yesterday.

I have to say, Lock On does feel more realistic (despite having no experience flying modern jet fighters or vintage warbirds!). You can't just power up, take off, open fire and get an easy kill like you can in CFS3. If you tried that, you'd either give up trying to figure out what the hell you had to do, or stall and crash after your first sharp turn. ;D

Although CFS3 is fun, I think that Lock On is more immersive, and you get a greater feel of actually being a combat pilot, due to the level of work that you have to put in. Hard? Yes. Fun? Most definitely.
