Problems with POV

Hey all.  I've played IL2 and WWIIOL quite a bit.  I've owned CF3 for awhile but never really played it much.  Recently, I decided to reinstall mainly to try out the Over Flanders' Field Mod.

Anyways, I can't get the POV to work the way I would like.  How do you look up and to the left for instance?  I have assigned a POV hat and assigned a key for 'Look Up' (and 'Look Down') but they don't work together!!    No matter what direction I'm looking via the POV hat switch, when I depress the 'Look Up' button, I simply look straight up?!  Is it not possible to look left (or any direction) and 45 degress up?

Hope I've described my problem properly.  Very confused and frustrated.

Thanks.

Btw, I'm using CH products (Fightersick, Pro Throttle, Pro Pedals).

I had no problem doing it with a hat switch with a MS sidewinder precision. Can't really help now as I use trackIR.
Should be a setting somewhere to maybe change the angle to what you really like but I'm too busy to find it for you. Have a look at the viewui.xml, maybe it's there.

The left-right- etc etc pp snap views should be assigned to the hat switch by default.
If it's not it's probably something with your stick.
Try to reload the default keyboard settings from the options menu.

To change your hatswitch to pan view hit the scroll lock button.

Thanks for the replies.  I played around a little this afternoon.  As far as I can tell, with the snap view you're limited to the directions you can look: straight up , straight down, forward, left, right and towards the four corners.  There is no looking left+back+down for instance.

It is possible to look all around using the pan view however.  Just had to map a key to forward view for a pseudo-snap back effect.

This is very different than I have it set up in IL2 or WWIIOL but hopefully I can get used to it.
