Rockets

Postby Foxtrot Sport » Sat Dec 11, 2004 1:52 pm

Hey,

I have had CFS3 for a while now, just never really played it all that much.  Sure I would start a quick game in a spitfire and shoot down a couple slow bombers, but that's about it.

My question is, is there something that i dont know about my rockets?  For me, they have been useless and in my year of playing this game, i have never actually hit a flying plane with any rockets.  Is there any specific way to to actually get them to work better, or are they really that useless.  Thanx in advance

Use them on ground targets. ;D

Those rockets are not really designed for air to air work. Though you may get lucky. Bombs are a challenge, I remember getting a Ju88 with a bomb in CFS1. ;D ;D

The AvHistory 1% Air 2 Air rockets are pretty effective.

So far the B-17G Molly II has 3 good chutes and a few yet to pull the rip cord  ;D

Molly II pretty much disintegrated when the 1% R4M's hit, but I really have never tested the MS versions so I can't comment on them.

Yeah, i have been using them lately on all those rail yards and such, bummer that the new tracing technology had to come out AFTER ww2.  I think i'll go try out that bomb thing though.

Don't know what to tell you.

We have had over 20 thousand copies of Molly II downloaded & installed with almost no reports of problems.

90% were not having the patch installed & the rest were bad installs of the weapons & guns.

You might try deleting the whole thing & re-downloading it along with the most current version of the AvHistory Guns & weapons file to see if that helps.

Have you installed everything into the right places. Sometimes the file you need to put somewhere is in another file with the same name and so the game won't be able to find them. Provided you've downloaded everything thats needed for it to run there is absolutely no reason it shouldn't work.

Well i guess... For exemple: The Zipped Archive contents a Weapons and a Guns Folder. The contents of both folders were placed on the respective folder on the CFS3 directory. I guess that's the right thing to do.
