when i fly a patrol mission,after i finished destroying the formation of enemy aircraft the misson wont end??? why?

after you destroyed the enemy you still have to fly the patrol. Just fly around above the patrol point and wait, after a while (5 to 10 minutes, yeah I know it 's boring) you will be redirected to your home base to end the mission.
