There's a thread about drivers and cfs3 at Simhq. You should check it out.
If the terrain turns strange colours (not sure that's your problem, it seems a different issue), they are often caused by the use of Anistotropic filtering (FSAA) with OR without the use of Anti-aliasing (AA).
- Open cfs3config
- in the tab "Parameters editor for textures info" set "composite terrain texture usage" and "composite aircraft texture usage" to "Render target" (not necessary but it helps).
Then set Anti-aliasing (AA) in cfs3config (don't worry if it always appears set to "none" when you open cfs3config later - it's a bug, but it doesn't correspond to the reality)
NB : always exit cfs3config through the menu.
Go to your vid driver panel :
- set AA to "application preference"
- set FSAA to your personal preference.
To sum up : if that doesn't solve the problem, you know the cause; so play with the conjunction of FSAA and AA use to solve the problem that is know in the community as the "rainbow colours".
But your problem seems definetely to be a drivers issue.
