Historical correct markings?

Is there any possiblity to play CFS3 with historical correct german markings?

With numbers, chevrons etc. on fighter planes, letters & numbers on bombers and swasitkas on all planes?

Or ad least swastikas?

Is there anything to change in some config files, or is there a tool and/or addon or whatever to fix this? :(

You'll have to download some repaints for all that. ;)

Download the 1% planes from http://www.avhistory.org/.  They have historically correct markings with the swastika and everything, and also have more realistic flight and damage models.  They are way better than the default planes.

If you're unsatisfied with almost all add-on aircraft*, as I am, then there is a download for that.  I think the Hakenkreuz adds to the overall realism factor to the game.  Without it, it feels like your in an airshow, not a war. >:(

Scroll down to: "Skins for German Planes in Combat Flight Simulator 3." :)

*Exceptions being Avhistory and Groundcrew aircraft. ;) Although I have some gripes with thiose too. :P

Y'all don't want to confuse new paint with all new flight, damage, weapons models & in many cases all new aircraft.  The download you suggested seems to be just paint jobs for the same old MS default aircraft.

Yes indeed, but one point I will give Microsoft is great textures.  Rarely surpassed.  I did not mean to say GC and 1% are inferior in realism. ;)

They just look so blurry!  Also, often times parts go completely untextured.  Or they don't appear to be textured.  Like the exhausts on the F4U or many parts in various VCs.

Oh well.  I'm just too picky for the developers I suppose. ;)

No, we have not released any jets yet but do have quite a few in the flight model upgrade mix.

I hope you people realise why MS does not put swastikas on their planes, we live in a world that has gone into a messy public toilet called political correctness and MS is using good judgement by doing this. They would get all kinds of crap about anti-semitism if they put swastikas on thier default planes.

Actually its because its illegal to use the symbol in some of the countries where the game is sold,  like Germany.
