Whenever I boot up CFS3, i'll play for a while, and when I least expect it, it quits back to the desktop. This usually happens after 4-5 missions in campaign mode. Does anyone know what causes this and/or how to fix it? Any help will be greatly appreiciated.

I'm not sure what does that.  CFS3 did that on my old machine, but not on my new one.  Just oput of curiosity, how much RAM does your comp have?  I thought I read somewhere that it crashes when you run out of RAM(?)  I don't know though, I'm not the most knwowledgable person on that subject.

Dont think it's my RAM, I've got 1024mb, and an athlon XP3000+ processor. It never crashes in the menu, usually i'm on my 4th or 5th mission, i take off, begin to warp toward the target, and about 5 secs into the warp is when it does it. But ONLY after about 4 missions.  ???

SkyCadillac51 make sure your PC meets all  the minimal requiremennts to have this program running properly.
Their is a download at www.Sim-outhouse that may help you to install CFS3. Check it out.

CFS3 is a pretty demanding Simulator but a good one once everything in your PC running is running up to grade. Enjoy it. Remember there are lots of upgrades in here plus in other Websites that will increase your enjoyment of this game.

Yah thats what i thought, but I've been runnin games like Doom 3 without a hitch.

My specs are,

2.17GHz Amd athlon XP3000+
1GB DDRAM
128meg Gforce FX5600
150GB hard disk
52X CD/DVD Drive

I can play free flight for hours without a prob, and campaign for a while too.

This is a known issue :
cfs3 spawns randomly aircrafts, vehicles during missions or campaigns to add a bit of life in scripted missions.

The problems is often that a user installed a plane but didn't install correctly the weapons or the pylons, and when cfs3 tries to spawn said aircraft with said loadout - CTD.

So it can happen anytime.

How to find the culprit :
- what have you added to the stock cfs3?
- test all the added planes with ALL their loadouts in Free flight, and when one aircraft refuses to load you get your culprit. Re-install it with the weapons corresponding to it.

Doing that, I downloaded a coupla GroundCrews Bf110s that were playing up, and also a Curtiss Jenny, but i've been busy so thats as far as I got, but looks as if you were right bzhyoyo. Will post later when i've had time to do some more checks.  :D

SkyCadillac, if you notice issues with our Bf110's just make a search for all files with extension bdp in your CFS3 path and delete them, that should fix it in almost all cases.
Also make shure that you have the Bf110 weapons pack installed.
BTW, if you think there are issues with the planes this should definitely only occure with the plane selected.
There nothing other than that what could cause trouble.
Oh, and do you have the 3.1 patch installed?

You're right mathias, methinks I don't have the weapons pak, they were fine until i tried to select their different loadouts.
