CFS3 error

I have an older system and connot get the game to run. After getting Dirext "X" 9.0, I can get the game background to come on, then a CFS3 dialouge box stating something like an error about a configuration file date being expired. Any thoughts? Many thanks in advance!!!

i had this same prob and chased my tail for days..... solved by microsoft doing some testing for me and it turned out i had to use backdated (older) graphics drivers for my tnt2 as she was a very old card and didnt do too well with new drivers.

Thanks Maverick....I was suspection my graphincs card was too dated. {robably time to upgrade to a new PC anyway......
