Gauges in CFS3

Where are they in CFS3 ?

I was trying to find those rather nice Heads up translucent guages that you can place in spot plane view.

My thoughts were to copy them and use in FS2004, but really suspect they won't work as CFS3 uses different graphics engine to all other MS Sims

Any ideas? :)

Gauges are build into the model as keyframe-animated Geometry in CFS3 as opposed to the flat C++ programmed FS gauges.
No way to use CFS3 gauges in FS.
Al you could probably use would be the gauge textures to make your own FS gauges.
These are stored in dds format in the aircraft\shared folder.

Thanks Mathias

I suspected that CFS3 stuff wouldn't work.

You seem to be pretty clued up. Any ideas on how you could build a HUD display using analogue guages ( preferably translucent like CFS3) to use in Spot plane view in FS :)

Sorry no, never bothered with the FS gauges myself.
You may want to get yourself the panel and gauges SDK off the FS9 site.
