I was just wondering what the proper way to end off missions in the campaign is. i land, taxi to the spot where i think the plane should be parked, return my flaps to thier nnormal possition,open the canopy, lock the tailwheel and turn of the engine. and then... nothing the guy just sits in the plane. if anyone can help i'd really apreciate it.

P.S: when you've completed all your objectives, that window pops up on the bottom of the screen saying:debriefing and close. i click close because it is a bit dumb to do the whole mission and then not finish off by landing.  ???

I just land with the window up and click debrief when I'm on the ground.  If you click close, hit the esc. key to bring up the menu and end the mission that way.

Even if you "Exit Mission" after you've completed all objectives, they'll still count, and you'll still get those neat little cutscenes.
