CFS3  Crashing

Lately my CFS3 has been getting extreme as far as crashing is concerned.  i can't even finish one little 10 min. QC session without the damn thing crashing!  I have reinstalled it about 4 times (deleted the folder too)in the past 2 days - doesn't seem to do anything.  Even when i'm running out-of-the-box with only default A/C and no addon effects or anything it still does this.  I ran a defrag last night though, hopefully it will help.  Anyone else have this problem?

Yep, it loves to crash. I have decided that the odd crash now and then is to be expected and just reboot and start again. However it only crashes now and then and not every ten minutes. M$, don't you just love them ;)

No better after the defrag either. :-/ :-/  Another thing I've noticed is when it crashes just after it freezes there are three or four clicks that come from the CPU tower ??? ??? Dunno if it has anything to do with it crashing, but it's the only time it does that.

If only there was a combat flight sim that looked great, had great online playability, and didn't crash.

Yes, I'd Love 2 see something like that.   Wouldn't that be FaBulous?  ;)

BTW Hawker, are you supposed to reboot after CFS3 crashes ?  Mine usually only crashes to the desktop, so i never did.

If only IL2 had even the slightest presence of an addon community.

I think i've worked out what makes CFS so much better than IL2. When ever you want something new in CFS all you need to do is go online and download something, usually for free. If however you want something new for IL2 then you go online, do a fruitless search for addons then you have to go out and buy a complete new sim.

I reinstalled AGAIN this morning and clean booted before I installed.  About two minutes after I opened CFS3 the machine totally locks up, so had to shut it down.  Tried it again later - still crashing >:( >:( :( ::) :-/ :'(
