Many times when I go into warp to get to the area of the mission I crash.  When I go into warp it is right after takeoff and when it reaches the area of the target it starts to come out of warp.  I hear an explosion and the plane disappears and only the landscape is shown.  Cfs3 tells me I have crashed.
This same senario happens when I come out of warp on the return to base flight.  It stays in warp until it gets to within a few miles of the airbase and then as it comes out of warp it crashes.  The alt. indicates 2500 ft.
