VERY IMPORTANT WARNING TO CFS3 SIMMERS!!!!!!!!

Postby Mike Thurman » Thu Feb 05, 2004 7:55 am

Ok guys, i'm very serious here, DON'T BUY the Just Flight Battle of Britan package. Me and my friend payed 30$ for it at walmart and it messed with both our PC's. The aircraft as well look like total S***. They're refrence points are incorrect and they sink into the ground. This happened on both me, and my friend nick's PC. We cant load CFS3 now, beacause we get error messages. No doubt we informed M$, but they just recommended some product.

THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL CFS3 SIMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Calm down, brother.
Justflight BoB is running fine on many machines, as far as I can tell.
Have you tried contacting the Justflight support?

This would seem the obvious answer. Just Flight have always been a reputable company, unlike some others I could mention.

Well, let's see.
Go into your CFS3 terrains and terrains2 folder and delete all files with extension "zx".
Not to worry about, these are the zip files in binary format and they'll get re-created when you run CFS3 the next time.
Next do a search for all files with extension "bdp" in your entire CFS3 root and delete them as well.
When done, run the CFS3 config tool and set to default settings.
Run CFS3 and check if it'S any better now.
May take a while to load since it has to re-create all the zx and bdp files.
Once CFS3 is running again, you can go back to the config tool and tweak the visuals as usual.
Hope this helps.

Nothing wrong with payware, it's the buggy CFS3 engine that causes the headache, matey.

Ok, but either way, i think i'll just stick to freeware, becasue anyway, it's usually better QUALITY then payware. Like the MJ 777, MJ747, DHC3, Aero Comander, etc. ;)

Anybody experienced CFS3 literally shutting your machine down if your silly enough to crash into the sea on the JU88 Anti Convoy mission? (I forget its proper name!) another example of CFS3 and its buggy (read crap) engine.....
