Flashing Autogen Scenery

I have recently received a GeForce Fx 5600 256 MB 400 Mhz Graphics card and have noted substantial increases in both quality and FPS across the board with all my games except CFS3.

CFS3 runs slightly faster but the autogen scenery, trees and buildings, flashes on and off.  This is off putting at low level and makes the game unplayable.

I have applied all of the tweaks etc. and I am running the 53.03 Nvidia drivers.  Other specs are as below:

P4 1.7Ghz
512 Mb RAM
60 Gb Hard drive
Windows XP Home Sp 1

Any tips short of binning the tossing game would be appreciated.

Will

I have the same hardware as you except the Card and the Processor.

Look at my specs in my signature.

M$ took a huge financial risk when making this sim.

I PRAY TO GOD THAT M$ FIXES ITSELF IN TIME!!!!!!!

M$ should have delayed the release of CFS3 so that it could sort out the errors and glitches. Corporate greed these days. :-/

As for your flashing autogen, I don't think there is a cure. Sorry dude.

Try using older drivers. I installed some new drivers a while ago and all my games stopped working. So I reinstalled the old ones and everythings back to normal. What DirectX are you using?

And ignore Kahatu. He is a little bias against M$. There is a cure for most problems with M$ sims. And especially as you never used to have this problem, it is probably fixable.

Just a thought, have you tried fiddling with the config file? Try some changes with the overrides. That might fix it. It might just be a conflict of the default scenery. :)

Hi

Also make sure that you have really stripped out ALL the old driver components - 'uninstall' is not usually adequate.

Thanks guys!

I'll try getting rid of the old drivers and try again with it.  Currently it's back in the box and uninstalled LOL

3 Gen
5 A/C
3 Scenery
3 Terrain

2 Effects

I'm getting 15-40FPS and normal stutter( ::)).  This is masive improvement in 9FPS and flashing scenery LOL.
