you have to press printscreen first.  Then, minimize CFS3 and open a photo editing program (I use MS Paint for lack of anything better).  Go into edit on the top menu and select 'Paste'.  Your screenshot should then appear in the program.

Another way is to use a program called MultiGrab from http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk you can set where you want the shots to go, the format, and it can take repeated shots without having to stop the game.

This is a built in feature with the CFS series. Haven't you tried just pressing  CTRL and ; (semi colon) in game...? That should place a .bmp file in the Combat Flight Sim 3.0 folder that sits in My documents. Then what I usually do is open up the .bmp file with MS paint and save it as a .jpeg just to keep the file size down, then place it in a folder of its own. Got quite a nice collection of screeners by now.

You can also go to your CFS3 control options and change the way to save a screen shot to any key convenient for you. I made it F10.
I also open it in Adobe Image Ready, which makes fast actual size and file size conversion easy. Many different programs and what ever works best for you is the right one.
