I'm having difficulty logging into multiplayer games...I tried for the first time today (only just got cable connected up) but It wont let me do it. I'm patched up to date (3.1a), I've created the username and password, but all i get is an 'unexpected errors occured, please try later' message. I only just realised today that CFS3 doesnt seem to be supported by MSN gaming zone...Please tell me I'm wrong...Surely this is a massive oversight on MSN's part ! Another thing...i did hear a rumour that i wont be able to play on multiplayer with the wideview cockpits...could that be the cause of my troubles ? Surely it would at least let me log on first. Any advice welcome.

Since I only had a 56K dialup connection I gave up on multiplaying CFS3. I only multiplayed 3 or 4 times but gave up on it because of my slow connection. Just yesterday I got Comcast broadband service (from 39kbps to over 1.5mbps!) so was excited about getting back into multiplaying CFS3 but I got the same error as you. I've been trying since yesterday but am still getting that "unexpected error" warning. I wonder if MS closed the server down or what.

Does anyone here still multiplay CFS3 and if you do is the server okay? And if it is do you have any recommendations for Biggles and me? And are there any other 3rd party servers that can be used with CFS3.

I've had CFS_3 since it came out, and the multi-player feature seems to be intermittent sometimes..

I ain't been able to get in for the last 2 or 3 days either, but it was fine 4 days ago... It does that sometimes... It's not your setup!

It does SUCK that there's no place to go to check on the server status, but it usually comes back on line sooner or later..

I just installed CFS3 tonite and had same problem when trying multiplayer.  

got the same here been trying for 3 days

Because I just got Comcast broadband the other day and installed the McAfee Personal Firewall I wanted to make sure that I could access the MS Zone servers. So I tried multiplaying CFS2 at the "Zone" today and all was fine there. Except for my flying abilities ... I lost all but one (1 on 1) head to head dogfights!

I don't know what's going on with the "special" CFS3 server. I really like CFS3 too but it sure has its shortcomings. Lots of 'em. Com'on MS, get on the stick!

Hi,

The CFS3 server is up and running now. 7:40PM U.S. Eastern time.

Just make sure that if you're running a configurable firewall (not the XP firewall) that you grant it access that server.
