HUD Gauge

Please, anybody, SOS,  Airspeed HUD guage has disappeared and substituted by redundant climb indicator.  
I dragged the climb indicator on top of the identidal guage to make it go away.  Now, tho, no airspeed HUD.  
I tried dragging the gauge from the instrumental panel to the HUD from within the cockpit but that didn't work.  
Help the son of an old B-24 co-pilot who is being driven nuts by his Second Looey old Dad who hates to crash.  How do you get the HUD airspeed gauge back on the HUD?

i dont want to sound like I'm asking an obvious question, but have you tried cycling through all your hud gauges ?..depending on your key configuration, with HUD view on, hitting either of the numbers 1-4 repeatedly while holding Cntrl+ Shift will cycle through each gauge. Check your key command configuration just to make sure...does that help ?
