Can you use multiple usb controllers?

I have a Wingman Force 3D stick, modified to a scratch built left hand thotttle. I was wanting to purchase a set of rudder pedals for the full effect. how is this hook-up up done? do I need a usb hub? I've heard that you cannot hook up both game port, and usb at the same time... also, one more question, what pedals does anyone recommend. Thanks for the time...

Check this thread. Near the bottom you'll find a brief sentence about connecting multiple USB devices.

Be careful though. USB is a big overhead and connecting up loadsa stuff could make your box run real slow....
