CFS 3 Texture Problem

Ok, the problem I have is this.....

I have a 1.3ghz Athlon with a Geforce 4 Mx420 (64mb) graphics card. I can not run the texture slider anything above 2 as I get stuttering and it's unplayable. However, I could run them but the textures were corrupt UNTIL I chose 'dxd_sysmem' for the terrain textures. If I leave that button at the default 'dxd_default', it seems to PAINT corrupt ground textures over runways etc

Anyone else had this or know how to cure it ?

I had a similar problem. Try installing Nvidia's version 30.82 drivers available in the driver archive section of their driver download site.
To cure shutters read my long post to troubled_falcon which I believe is titled "Help me Please."

Thank you friend. I shall try that.

Even though it seems odd sometimes when you install older driver versions (you always think you have fixed something but lowered your fps) I shall still try it. I'll get the detonator destroyer from that 3d guru site also.

Be sure to try some of my tricks too. I'm averaging 20fps now with a Geforce2 MX400 64mb card. Actually guru3d.com has the new Nvidia 43.00 drivers. These drivers make CFS3 run like clockwork but unfortunately corrupt the graphics for FS2002.
