Shutdown Hang after running CFS3

I have had problems with my computer "hanging" after running CFS3.1, exiting the game and trying to shut down, either immediately or after running other applications. I don't recall this happening with CFS3.0.I could only cure the problem by uninstalling CFS3.1 and reinstalling CFS3.
The first time I reinstalled I upgraded to 3.1 and the problem reoccured after running CFS3.1 5-6x's.
The second time I reinstalled I did not upgrade and haven't had the problem reoccur.....yet!
Computer Specs:
Dell Dimension XPS T600
CPU Pentium III 600MHz
512 SDRAM
PNY Verto GeForce4 Ti4200
Turtle Beach Montego II multimedia game/sound card.
Any one else have this happen? Solutions?
