I haven't tried the the ETO Expansion package. That's a whole new ball game. I suggest getting CFS3 working properly first before trying any addons.

Will give it a go. What is the No CD Patch ????

The No-CD patch is the unmentionable patch referred to in the instructions I recommended.

1. Install CFS3 from your original CDs (or DVD if you're lucky). Make life easier by not installing to the default folder, use something like C:\CFS3 and avoid UAC problems later. Don't run the sim yet!
2. Apply the 3.1 and 3.1a patches. Don't run the sim yet!
3. Replace cfs3.exe with the unmentionable patch but don't run the sim yet!

It's an unofficial replacement cfs3.exe file that allows CFS3 to run without the CD in the drive. It's the answer to the whole problem of running the sim in Windows 10.
You can download it here --> https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/15256/microsoft-combat-flight-simulator-3-no-cd-patch/
This is the one I used. Take a backup copy of the original file before replacing it just in case.

I assume you already have the 3.1 & 3.1a official patches.

If you successfully installed both official 3.1 patches you should use the 3.1 version of cfs3.exe from the No-CD patch download.

Paste it into the CFS3 main directory.
Then make sure you follow the instructions re changing its properties exactly as shown. (Right-click on cfs3.exe & select Properties.)
I've taken the liberty of copying them here.

If that doesn't work I'm out of ideas.

I must have a different version of Windows 10 as when I do the change properties thing I don't have a box to check to Disable display scaling on high DPI settings

I will uninstall everything and start over one more time....
Thanks for your help

The strange thing is that the install I have with the messed up ETO still works on this PC just stuck in 1 era....

Now you mention it that box on mine is named Disable full-screen optimisations. I checked it anyway. It's only temporary until you get it running, then you can change the resolution from CFS3 display settings.
