It's starting to feel like a fight between children...

They're both good sims, each with their pros and cons, neither is perfect, or better than the other, just one may be better out of the box, and the other may be modded until the point it is amazing.

So enough of the "Mine is bigger than yours./My dad could beat up your dad!" arguement.

I know, I know.  I'm not bitching, i'm just saying.

Sorry, but while it used to be a fun arguement, it's now getting kind of stupid, because we're going over the same stuff and whatnot.

Never was a fun argument, each person likes his own sim(s):

1.) IL-2 merge
2.) FS2004
3.) BoBII

I have 2000 posts at UBI not one metions CFS3?

Image

Why you might ask? Becasue it isn't a damn CFS forum.

Interesting comment.....but you seem to have no problem jumping in the CFS3 threads at UBI/IL2 to trash it.

BTW Its really cute when a little kid try's to talk tuff, don't you think?

& does not seem to have anything complementry to say about CFS3 in his 100 or so posts here either. why not? Becasue I have FS2004.

So why don't you take a hike & stay there instead of trolling here?

I do? Most of my threads are in the Paint Scheme forum. And even if I do want to have my say on CFS3, there is nothing you can do to stop me, after all I do have it, I don't play it because its really bad.

So why don't you take a hike & stay there instead of trolling here?

Take a hike? No, because if I own CFS3, I have as much right as you to be in this forum, just becasue I don't play it mean I can't have my say on it.

Ah, Bear, Kinder and Gentler remember?  ;)

Although at the same time this whole new angle to the thread (which was started by my picture of Molly) has kind of put me in mind of the episode of Father Ted where Ted is explaining perspective to Dougal with the aid of a small plastic cow:

"this cow is small, and those cows are far away. Small.......far away."

That B-17 is too small, the Spit looks huge against it.

I think perspective has been explained already SeaNorris.........(Small......far away) ;D

At the same time, just for your benefit, here is the exact same shot from the other side, bit more jaggy, i spent less time on it. For the record, fish eye, perspective, whatever, I was far closer than I should have been as I specifically wanted to get both planes in shot together. The spit was always the centre of the image for CFS3 and I rotated the view around. I think the effect is spiffing.....
Image

I now you are using the latest video card and a very high performance PC to reached such a great shot.

James007, not really, I'm just prepared to suffer truly awful frame rates for shots this good. I'm sure a better spec PC could do better. I have a GeForce MX 440 or something similar, it's a couple of years old now. However when I turn things down it still looks good, and flys well enough for me, maybe my expectations are still set at the ZX81 or even Atari ST level (MirrorSoft's F16 Flying Falcon! Top stuff!)

Finally Bear, love the Troll!  :D

Please please tell me you took that pic especially and that he's a little guy sitting on your desk? That would make me so happy..... ;D

Stay Happy guys

Well, just to go on posting images...
here is a good reason, IMHO, to fly with CFS3...

We've already established that the spit was nearer to the camera than the b-17. Therefore the spit will look big. What point are you trying to make?

Do you think the designer mixed up metric and imperial?......that's centimetres and inches for all you pre-GCSE kids.

He is try to make the point that the Spit is piloted by a giant & the Fort has 10 midgets for its crew.  ;D

He is also well into pre-adolescent ya-ya at this point so postings to him are pretty much a waste of time.  ::)

BTW Have y'all seen the Ju-52 desert (also have a float-plane version but its not been skinned) & Wellington yet?
