Hey all. I used to be a regular on the CFS2 forum, played it to death. I'm scared to think how many Gb are dedicated to that game. I changed to Il2 when I updated the computer. Still played CFS2 occasionally, but mainly Il2 to learn a new system. Finally bought CFS3 to compare. Afraid to say, it is rubbish.
Firstly, running XP Service Pack 2 (CFS2 runs like a dream) I get 18 repeats of 'can't find font OCRB, using Arial instead". I have OCRB. In any case, it's a microsoft font (that I have to pay for if I want it again) for a MS game. They should only be using the default fonts in the OS, or supplying it with the game disc. Secondly, the movie won't play, although I can play it fine separately.
I shouldn't have to re-invent the computer to run a MS game on a MS operating system. Those guys really need to lift their game.
BTW, if I want to tab through the font issue to the game, every time I click on something it locks up and I have to hit esc to unfreeze it (and open the relevant tab).
Yes, I have tried re-installing it... 4 times. Same every time. Of interest though is that the distributor is Ubisoft (same as Il2). Strange.
