Improving flight dynamics?

Postby Reno » Thu Feb 07, 2008 12:43 am

Is there a way to re-do the flight dynamics? I just started playing again and after really getting into all my other ultra realistic combat sims, I realized how bad teh flight dynamics of all the planes were, like the fact that doing a tiny 2 G turn stalls me out then goes into some weird unrealistic stall thing, yet the AI planes can do like, a 20 million G turn and not stall in the least.

Cheers

Just play with the aircraft.cfg Reno, that is what I did (make a back-up of the original first!). Most of the CFS3 stock planes fly fairly well, and the ones from AvHistory tend to be excellent in the FD dept as well as the modelling dept ;)

I can't see a section to lower the stall tendency or any of that in the .cfg

Look for something like;

[Reference Speeds]
flaps_up_stall_speed=
full_flaps_stall_speed=
