Squadron Prestige Points

I am wondering if anyone around here has any idea how to increase one's squadron prestige points at a much faster pace.

The campaign has these neat aircraft that can be obtained early in one's career, but the Squadron Prestige requirements for such aircraft [such as the improved P-47 - which I like very much] gets quite expensive.

I tried shooting down the Jerries, but a Thunderbolt can't out-turn a Bf-109 [just out-run them]. I tried blowing up as much enemy shipping [I even ordered my squadron to attack my targets], but as many of you pointed out, blowing up shipping has little or no effect.

EDIT: I also need those points for launching offensives.

Well, at least I am making good progress with my lil' old P-47D.

Right now, I'm trying to capture all the major factories and rail ways located in NorthWest Europe.
