Was this a problem in the earlier CFS's as well?

Yes, but Modders got round the problem in both CFS1 and CFS2.

FOX-FOUR's Korean War add-on for CFS2 models flyable jets like the F-86 Sabre, Panther, and hopefully soon the MiG-15.

There are jets availabe for CFS1-2, we have done a number of them, but they, as far as I have seen,

Whatever, but it does not change the fact that CFS2 can't properly support jet or rocket powered planes.

No it doesn't, but it's amazing how we get by.  8)

The Lago F-16 can be used in Combat Flight Simulator 3.... but without precision guided ordnance its no fun. You should man the gun on the Memphis Belle... Come on, its the WWII era were talking about here!  ;)

Sure it would be no problem, but most of the guys are not really interested in much past Korea.

And than there are lots of people like myself who are starving for modern era combat and could care less about anything before the Gulf War...

The problem you have with CFS3 is the guys who are not all that interested are the ones that build the planes.

Got to agree with you AVHistory. The people who build the planes build them because that's what interests them.
I went for Korea, because I was seduced by a little-respected Sim called Sabre Ace, which despite poor flight models (and who gets 'em right anyway) really captured the era for me.
I might ask you guys for an aircraft that interests me, but I wouldn't blame you for not making it because it doesn't interest you in the same way it interests me.
The downloaders really have to understand that.

I think Korea is a good match with CFS3.

No, I meant I went for Korea in CFS2. That  is, building things for it.

Well, actually I started with CFS1. I did that because nobody else was doing it and I wanted to fly Korea, so I was writing missions, building cockpits, adjusting dp files and begging people to build me aeroplanes.
Then I got roped into FOX-FOUR and Korean Air War for CFS2.  8)

My main point was that if you get into building things for any Flight Sim, it's usually because it's the things you personally want to use, and you do it because nobody else is doing it.
