CFS3 - V2.85.07
This aircrafts visual was built by Ed "GROUNDHOG" Wilson. Gregory "SARGE" Pierson & Dmitry Moskalenko using version V2.85.07 of the AvHistory 1% Assembly Line process developed the flight model. Ed has also created a new updated cockpit for this plane.

The Yak-9M went into production during February of 194. It was as a modest change to the Yak-9D, with the cockpit moved back to improve production compatibility with the Yak-9T. This was actually an improvement from the pilot's point of view as well, since moving the cockpit back did not reduce the pilot's view, while it helped reduce the degree of noseheaviness that the Yak-9 had inherited from the Yak-7.
This standard version was armed with one 20mm cannon and two .50 cal. machine guns, all concentrated in the nose of the airplane. The wingspan was reduced, and the ribs were made of lightweight duralumin. The engine was upgraded to the 1,240 hp. M-105PF-3.
The Yak-9M was also fitted with a jettisonable cockpit canopy, an engine dust filter, and other minor refinements. The variant went into production in the spring of 1944, and over 4,200 would be built.
Ed has painted the 1% Yak-9M in the livery of Bulgarian ace Stoyan Stoyanov. He recieved this aircraft is a formal presentation from the Soviet ace A.Pokryshkin in March of 1945. The aircraft was paid for by a subscription of the population of Novossibirsk & the writing on the side refers to this event.
Unfortunatly for the Allies General Stoyanov became an ace flying Bf-109's for the Axis before the Bulgarian surrender & re-equipping by the Soviets.
On September 9, 1944 Bulgaria joined the Allies. Stoyan Stoyanov is first from the left infront his Bf 109 G-2 as a Soviet officer in 3. Orliaku of 6. Fighter Regimment takes over command.
Note: Be very very careful maneuvering around the landing stall speed. This version of the YAK will bite y'all quicker then a Corsair & could easily be called the "Comrade Liquidator"
