How to exit a "Quick Combat" flight ?

Postby GhostFlyer » Mon Feb 02, 2004 5:28 am

I'm new to CFS3 and having a barrel of fun learning to fly & shoot using the "Quick Combat" options .... only I can't work out how to end a session other than by either crashing (& burning) or quitting CFS3 altogether.

After exhausting my ammunition and making a successful landing back on my home airstrip, is there a way to return to the Quick Combat options, check my statistics, change the aircraft's configuration etc. (or at least to re-arm & refuel) ?

It seems kind of a waste to have to stage a deliberate crash just so I can get more ammunition !

Hi, welcome to SimV. To exit QC, press the escape key on your keyboard and from the drop down menu on the top right of the screen, select exit mission (or it may say end mission, can't remember ;)) from the options available. You will then get a box asking if you are sure you want to exit QC, click yes and you will have a screen from where you can select to see your stats and results and refly the mission etc.
Hope that helps.

I usually end my QC missions by aiming my plane at the enemy and jumping at the last second. Gets you that extra kill at the end if it all goes to plan. ;D

Thanks for the advice guys - much appreciated !

I'll give the escape key a try once I get home from work.  (I have already tried Woodlouse's kamikaze option, and it did work rather well ... although I must admit that at the time it was accidental!).
