Help with bombs away please

For several months i have been playing CFS 3 and blasting trucks tanks and planes to oblivion with my machine guns cannons and bombs.

Today i start it up and i try to drop my bomb and nothing happens.

"Did i forget to arm the darned thing?" i ask myself as i press the arming butting and go for another pass on the target.

I press the bombs away button (which i have assingned to a button on my joystick) and nothing happens.

"Hmm" i think "Maybe somehow the control assignment was deleted?" so i check it out and it was still set just as i had left it. and just as it had worked for me many times before. So just to test things out i re-assign it to some other button..."maybe the switch on my joystick is bad." still nothing.

I have tried re-assigning the "Drop ordinance" button several times and it only seems to work for bombers not fighters... i can drop bombs all day long in a B26 or JU-88 but not in a mustang or 109 or any other fighter for that matter.

What did i not think of?the only mod i am using for this game is the swastika skins from this site, perhaps there is a conflict? I am inches away from re-installing. any advice would be appreciated.

I have the same problem.  I just purchased CFS3 and can't drop bombs from fighter-bombers.  I've only tried flying the P-47 Thunderbolt.   I checked the assignments, tried using "enter" (default) and tried assigning a new joystick button.  I tried changing to use my spacebar to drop the bombs.  How do you drop bombs using a fighter bomber?    I can't get them to drop.

This makes it hard to make progress in the game.

i dont know what the deal is with the bomb dropping... i have been dropping them with much success from fighters for months only the other day it stopped working... ill keep playing with the program to see if i can figure this out... anyone with any suggestions??
