Problem while controling the aircraft

I'm playing CFS3 on my keyboard. And I'm having problems while controling the aircraft. The aircraft's responses are late. I couldn't even destroy a ground target in Quick Mission. Should I get a control pad or a jostick? Will it make any difference? Or is it related with another thing I didn't think of?
(Note: my hardware is above min. requirements)

Definately get a joystick.  Even a cheap bad one would be better tan a keyboard.  Trust me.

Yep, I'll second that. And get a stick not a gamepad, as the prices are similar in alot of cases.
Logitech makes some good inexpensive ones, but I'd buy as good a stick as you can afford. I personally would recomend CH products.
They are the most expensive but they also are the most dependable, and well built.  ;) Plus they have a full line of stuff that all work together, stick, throttle, pedals, ect.
