hiting non-goal targets...

Postby Sky_Shark » Mon May 12, 2003 8:15 am

Hi!
When I do fighter sweeps I usually carry (2) 1000lbs or rockets to hit ground targets, besides my goal targets.
I also order my wingmates to hit ground targets after we eliminate the goal targets.

My question is: Does hiting non-goal targets afect the overall campaign, or is it just for gaigning prestige and kills?

I've found that killing factories does make a difference, and can lead to dramatic reversals for the enemy.

Yes, I read that in the strategy guide, but I wasn't shure that even as a non-goal target, the factory bombing would have efect on the campaign.

So I guess the best thing to do is choose missions in sectors with factories, acomplish the goals and go search for the sector factory.  ;D

Yup. Personally I just knock ten-bells out of anything I can find. I'm destructive like that ;D

Happy bombing

It took my campaign a long while until the front line finally pushed back into a large chunk of France.

From there on I became the MVP in bombing and straffing. ;D

WWWHHHHHEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW

KaBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMmmmmmmmmmmm

For those of you who are new to bombing missions, I suggest that you gain a good distance between you and the ground prior to releasing your payload.

That way, you won't get caught by the blast wave of your own bomb. Don't forget that the tanks can shoot at planes.

Speaking of tanks, everyone knows that it's best that you shoot or bomb the living cr*p out of the LEADING TANK (the tank at the very front of the enemy column). That way, they'll stop on the spot.

I also discovered shooting the locomotive out of trains is great cause it makes the whole train stop.   ;D

It would be nice if when you hit the locamotive the whole train derailed. ;D
