It can answer some of the questions you may have it also has links to what we use as far as the software that tracks the pilots flights and records their data.

Then of course there are people who will use this as a token to try and recruit you. ::)

I didnt really send that to him to recruit him, it was more for informational purposes, but if he wishes to join thats fine by me, theres lots of VAs out there anyway, room for everyone.

I've got 30 pages of VA's to choose from here. ;D ;D ;)

I should have been a little more specific in my question.

What does the pilot who joins a VA have to do?

From the moment I sit down at my computer, to the time I turn it off.

What is a typical flight like for a VA pilot?

My goal as a VA pilot is to make it as realistic as I can. I want to feel like a real pilot. The VAFS program is the best way to go its really easy and thats what makes me feel more like a pilot because of all the stuff it records and now you get a pilot ranking.

You just have to fly normally but with the VAFS you takeoff from the begining hub, then after that the next airport you fly to you have to takeoff from there and go to your next destination. Although when you start out most VA'S don't give you all the aircraft you want to fly. You have to earn them.

Here's the link to the VA rankings that use VAFS.

Frontier Virtual is now 109 ;D, we had like 90 pilots and our website went down and it's never been fixed almost a year now and we have 30 pilots since then. That's why im considering joining United Virtual but im still in contact with the CEO on my hours.

This is one i'd suggest of course you do have 33 pages and lots more to look up. Find the one that you want to fly for the most and the one looks most interesting and fun. 8-)

It sounds a lot like FS Passengers, only multiplayer style.

Do any VA's use FS Passengers?

I've got my own little charter line in FS Passengers where I fly a Cessna 206 around my home state, and it's good fun. 8-)

Yes VAFS does. Ive played a demo of FS Passengers it can be just like that.

Here's what it looks like,

You also get virtual money and you can jumpseat flights. This show's my data on my VA. 8-)

We use VAFS via VA Financials - its the best and most accurate flight recording tools for VA's.  Its not free for VA's which is why its the best, we do have to pay a monthly fee, but its not a crazy fee at all for the service.

Since my VA is rather new, im always looking for new pilots to fly with us and see if they like the routes, and if anything go ahead and tell me what routes they want to fly and ill make them happen.
Ive got lots of plans for the airline but it all takes time... but hey in a short while things have expanded nicely.
Like i said theres room for all.

It really depends on what you want to do, you need to find the VA thats right for you.  If you like to fly short little trips, regional jets, long distance flights, bigger planes, cessna's, there are all there. but it depends.

I created my airline to do most everything but its based in the midwest so theres lots to explore and most flights arent over 4 hours so that no one has to leave the game on for 9 hours straight, (not yet anyway), but i have a few beachcraft flights that fly around, but theres not alot of money in those, so they're there for the pilots who like to fly the prop planes mostly, but i always want input from pilots and i think other VA's do as well, thats how alot of routes are made.

When I was really young, I tried the virtual airline route. But it was so poorly managed and run that it closed down just a few weeks after I joined. I almost considered another one, but between the military, school, and a part time government job, the last thing I would want is some 10 year old kid as my 'virtual boss' telling me what, where, and how to fly... ;D

No thanks, i prefer bouncing around the skies on my own free will, answering to nobody.... 8-)

Certainly.
Many VA's make you fly somewhere, we dont.  However you do have to depart from the airport you land in, thats the rule.  So we try to make it interesting for everyone by giving people multiple different routes to choose as opposed to giving people flights or dispatching them, which is not really my style.  You can take a look at us if you wish, but if you'd rather go solo, hey thats cool too.
