At the VDOD we seek to emulate the US DOD and Canadian Dept. of National Defence air units.  We fly planes like the B-52 and KC-135 using FS2004 and FS-X.  We conduct monthly multiplayer events on our private server, sometimes with our partner VA, Canada Charters and Cargo Virtual - http://www.cvcharters.com.   The VDOD has been in operation since Sept. 2005, then known as the USVDOD. Okay, I want to join, but when it says Do you want to be in the surface fleet of the USN/USCG branches of the USVDOD? What does that mean if I say yes I don't know what your talking about when you say what ship? And if I say no I don't know what you mean by what unit. Can you clarify that? Thanks.
 

Surface Fleet is the Ships.

Ie Nimitz Class Carriers.
