For those of you wanting to do MP sessions with 2k4 then v3.0 of FSHost has just been released.
And with this version you'll also be able to fly online with people still running 2k2. Its freeware and available from http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost

This looks good.
How many people here use it over MS's Zone? I've never been able to get logged onto it now since they've changed it. ::)

How does this whole join/host session thing work with multi player? Once or twice i did MP on the HoverControl server, but it only lets you use aircraft that others are using.

Any ideas ??? ??? ???

OR... you could come and play at www.westcoastatc.com... we've been doing 2002/2004 multis with TeamSpeak ATC on a regular basis.
Yes, you have to sign up, but it's FREE and it's more of an "adult swim" than other places (that Z-word again). Controllers are good and many of the pilots have real-world aviation experience.

How about flying on the Nets most easy to connect Flying Network. On
eSkyWorld.com its takes you one whole short New York minute to connect. Open
your FS 2004 or FS 2002 and bam! You are in the game with 20 or 30 other
pilots all in one big and intense session under the Control of multiple Air
Traffic Controllers.  You see the other planes and hear the controllers
talking to you.
We give you no complicated software to install, reinstall or deinstall.

And eSkyWorld.com is truly the Future of Flight Simulation for Virtual
Airlines as well. All Flight information concerning your pilots are tracked
minute by minute with online instant reports. You know which pilot is
active, how long and how often they've flown in the last 30 days.  All
pilots can review their progress on up to the minute charts and they are
rewarded with our Wings Program each time they do a certain number of
flights.

eSkyWorld.com is the Future of Flight Simulation. One short New York Minute
on our web site will show you what you've been missing: Reality without
Technical Stupidity! Why go round and around on a bunch of anonymous
servers. Take a plunge and Fly into eSkyWorld. This is where your Future in
Flight Simulation beggins.

WestCoast ATC.com is also a great alternative.  Very easy to connect, and they pay their pilots a virtual salary which can be used to purchase real world aviation and flight simulation items such as hardware, software, add-ons, clothing, aircraft models and more!
