Welcome to: Virtual International Flying Club (VIFC)
The Virtual International Flying Club is not a Virtual Airline. We are a virtual flying Club that offers to the flight simulation enthusiast of the age of 17 years old or older, the opportunity to enjoy Virtual Flight via automated tracking systems, rosters, and pilot reports, while making links with people from the whole world. Fly for fun and friendship is our goal.
To achieve this mission, VIFC, offer you various flying activities and will promote multi-player sessions to establish and maintain contacts and friendship between the members. The Flying Club will also offer to its members all kinds of activities, including Air Traffic Control, Search and Rescue group missions, free flights solo or in groups, cross country flights, or charter flights on a solo basis, or on simple flight schedules, or no schedules at all. You may pop on the internet and see who is flying, and simply join in. Nobody will ever be told that this is a private flight. Everyone is ALWAYS welcome. We now have a new section called VASARA. This stands for Virtual Aviation Search and Rescue Association. It is equivalent to the CASARA association in real life. Here you can participate in emergency alerts and participate in Search and Rescue Missions. More details are available on our website and all files needed are also available.
The virtual home base is located in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada with hubs at Bolzano, Italy and Fort Myers, Florida USA. Home base airports , and hubs , were selected because they offer all types of flying activities with many aircraft models: bush flying, float planes, mountain flying, jet flying, etc. However, you may fly out of your own base if you wish. Every pilot will be able to fly the way he enjoys flying. We also offer to our members the use of a dedicated Teamspeak server for communications and four multiplayers FSD servers for multiplayers sessions.
You will be able to use our livery files, if you wish. You may participate in out ranking system. You can be a member even if you are participating in a Virtual
Airline (VA). You can transfer your previous flying hours from VA’s, but you
would need to provide accurate URL’s of that site for our review of all information
necessary to verify your flight time. We are not a virtual airline. Everything you do here is in addition to, or instead of a virtual airline.
We suggest that you have Teamspeak software on your system, to communicate with other members of the club.
We are VATSIM approved. If you do not have a VATSIM ID, we suggest
that you get one, but it is not mandatory to be a Vatsim member.
You may fly any plan, flight, or time you want. Our ‘Flight Planning’ section of the
website has many suggested flights. Our Activities section will suggest many
different flying activities to our members. Among suggested activities, we offer
Air Traffic control group sessions, weekly group flights, Search and Rescue
group missions, cross countries and charter flights. Our flight board and our
Vasara flight board will also offer you various flights. Or you may simply get online and fly nowhere or somewhere with or without a partner.
