Multiplayer: FS2004 versus FSX....

Postby Fozzer » Thu Oct 17, 2013 2:53 pm

Tried a Multiplayer flight tonight with my Mate; Greg, (Longbow Jet), he on FS 2004 and me on FSX with FS Tramp (Radar).
Not a very good mix!
(The Flight Sims!...not me and my Mate Greg!).... ...!
Our scenery is different, obviously, and FSX has all sorts of annoying problems when using the Chat Window for communication using "FS Host Client" for connection.
"FS Tramp" Radar works well with FSX and I can spot Greg during our flights!

But FS 2004 (with FS Navigator Radar) runs much more smoothly and trouble-free, (direct connection from within the Sim), and is better suited to Multiplayer, (using FS Host).....I reckon!

So...for my off-line Solo flights, its FSX and FS Tramp for the FAB scenery, and for my on-line Multiplayer excursions, its FS 2004 and FS Navigator..also with some pretty nice scenery!

Best of both Worlds?

Paul....G-BPLF Multiplayer... :D ...!

I realise that the original post is nearly 3 years old, but the last post is fairly recent. I fly multiplayer with a small group of friends, and we have a mix of FSX, FSX Steam, and P3d users. We can see each other in our own scenery, using any aircraft of our choice if the others have it in their library. This is using the freeware JoinFS programme. We use Skype for comms.
