Couple of questions

Goodly afternoon all...

Here is what I am using:
-FSX
-Windows 7

Have downloaded and created shortcuts on desktop for:
-FS HOSTSPY13
-FS HOSTCLIENT

My High Speed Internet along with telephone and television are connected through COGECO as a package deal.

Read the tutorials and found they mentioned FS2004 and Windows XP along with a Router which I am not sure I even need.

Do I need to Open Ports whatever they are and also disable my Windows 7 Firewall before flying on line.

Do I need my computers IP Address and a Simviation Multi-Player Server Password?

Think I need some simple help here before I go any further folks.

Later I shall ask:
-Why Default only aircraft?
-I mostly use:
Awesome4Some Douglas DC3
Bombardier/Canadair 215
Carenado's Cessna 185, 337

It sounds like I will be using the FSX Default Cessna 172 most of the time which is fine.

Its all quite simple, Doug!

(1) Just fire up your FSX.
(2) Run "FS Host Client" on your Desktop .....and insert your name; (Biggles, etc!).....
Type the Sim v Multiplayer IP Address 178.63.253.134 in the box.
Search.
When it finds it, ....type the Sim V Password in the box....(apply here for it)... ;) ....
"Join"....and you are away...connected to Multiplayer!...Press "Enter/Return" for the "Chat Window".

That's all there is to it!

(Other stuff will come later!).

Running "FS Host Spy" will reveal lost of other Multiplayer IP Addresses...most of which don't require a Password!

It's way easier than I imagined it was going to be, Doug. I just fire up FSX in "window" mode, then run FS Host Client, put in the SimV server address and password, click "find session" . Once the session is found click "connect".

Wonderful shots you took of our Tour, Chuck!

'Trubble with me, I run "Game Booster" before my flights, (to stop background processes, etc), and this often prevents me from taking Screen Shots during the session...

...but your shots were fantastic!

Many thanks, Chuck!... ....!

Paul....More exciting SOCAL Tours to come!.... :D ...!

..if you need to catch me in Multiplayer...

....just make a careful note of; Breakfast, Dinner, Tea, and Supper times, in England...

I may be unavailable during those very important times in my daily life... ;) ...!

Paul..... ... ...!

..and Californian Vino consumption during those times (and at other times!) may also be involved, to restrict my legitimate flying time!
