Makes two of us. I got halfway last and then got some mallwares installed
In FS 2002 and FS 2004 its easy-peasy. You just connect via the Drop-down menu > Multiplayer.
Its also as easy in FSX...(slightly)...
..so..if you are sitting comfortably... I will begin...
...
First: Go here...>>>
http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/(1) Download and install these two programs:
FS Host Spy.
FS Host Client.
(2) Pop both "Short-cuts" onto your desktop for easy, instant access!
(3) Fire up your FSX.
(4) Run it in "Windowed Mode".
(5) Close the window down temporally to the Task Bar, (or pull it to one side), to expose the "FS Host Client" Short-cut.
(6) Run it!
(7) Type in your Name, the IP Address you wish to join, Search, and when it finds it...Join!
(8) Open your FSX window again, and you will see the Chat Window, (which is opened with the Enter/Return key).
(9) You are now in "Multiplayer Mode" ready to join your Mates and Chat with them! "FS Host Client" will now appear in your FSX Add-ons, drop-down Menu, for you to control.
(10) Run "FS Host Spy" (as shown above) to see all the Multiplayer Sessions, their IP addresses, who is on line, and where they are!
Go on...give it a try..you know you want to!...
...!
Paul....Here Endeth the First Lesson...
...!
Catch you on-line!....
...!
Note: The really important extra bit,
for FSX only, is the additional "FS Host Client" program to run!
